How to simplify a Fraction

This is a blog post on how to simplify fractions. Will start with a simple fraction to simplify, then a harder one. Simplifying fractions is making fractions simpler. 

Lets start with 9/12, so what times what is 9. 3 x 3 is 9 so we can put 3 on the top. Know since we timesed it by 3, what times 3 is 12. Answer: 4. The fraction is now 3/4. That's your answer to simplifying  the fraction 9/12. To be honest that goes under as small and kind of big. So I won't hold anymore of your time, thanks for coming to my blog. Leave a comment.

 W.A.L.T. Solve problems involving fractions over 1.

For math today I had to make something creative on the History of Fractions. I did mine with a whiteboard and Stop Motion Animator.  Did you know Romans used word fractions or that the Latin word for fractions is Fractus meaning Broken.

I hope you like my animation I put a lot of effort into it today during Math.

Jennah and Kata's Zoo

 For Maths this past few weeks Kata and I have been designing a zoo. We had to pick at least 10 animals and then research their specific needs and the area and perimeter they need. We had a sheet covered in squares, each square was worth 100. Kata and I chose 12 animals.

• Camel
• Anteaters
• Sloth
• Leopard
• Poison Dart Frog
• Alligator Snapping Turtle
• Lions
• Tasmanian Devil
• Warthog
• Black Bear
• Red Panda
• Elephant

We also had 3 bathrooms, 1 playground and a kiosk which had a cafe.

It was heaps of fun picking the animals and researching what the animals needed. We also had to add a pathway that was 3 boxes wide.

Our zoo if called Jennah and Kata's Zoo.
