Christmas in the Summer

Today one of the other activities I did for the Summer Learning Journey was were I record myself saying the Jingle Bell song that I made. Instead of me saying it to you there is also another post of the song but down below. Also there is a part here that has some comparisons of the Northern and Southern hemisphere at Christmas time.

The Southern Hemisphere at Christmas

Weather - The Southern Hemisphere is in the Summer and is normally nice and hot.

Presents - Normally the kids in the Southern Hemisphere are more likely to get a boogie board or a pool floaty. Something Summery.

Decorations - The Southern Hemisphere prefers fake trees rather than real.

Food - The Southern Hemisphere is more likely to have salads and barbecues along with bread.

Travel - People tend to travel in the Southern because it is sunny and the roads don't tend to need to be closed due to weather.

The Northern Hemisphere at Christmas

Weather - The Northern Hemisphere is normally colder like snowy and cold. Since it is winter.

Presents - A common type of gift for kids in the Northern Hemisphere is more of an ugly sweater or board game. Or just an indoor game.

Decorations - The Northern Hemisphere prefers to have real Christmas Trees rather than fake.

Food - The tend to have turkey and warmer foods.

Travel - People don't tend to do this kind of thing because the roads are to slippery and cold so a lot of roads will be closed.

Here is my screencastify I hope you like it. What is it like at your house for Christmas? Do you normally travel?

Kiwi Jingle Bells

Today again for the Summer Learning Journey I made my own jingle bells song representing my Christmas.

I hope you like it, I put over and hour into it.

What do you do at Christmas time?

My Santa outfit

Today for the Summer Learning Journey I made my own outfit for Santa to wear. My Santa resembles Kiwi, not the bird. The people and country of New Zealand. I added all these things. If you want to know more I put some information onto the side of my image of the new Santa outfit.

Today for the Summer Learning Journey I did a Haiku Poem. About the summer.

I added Christmas into it since it is Christmas, If you want some sort of explanation about my haiku it is on the side.

I hope you comment on my blog.

What would your poem be about?

Reindeer - Mistletoe Snugglewell

Today I made my own reindeer, Mistletoe Snugglewell. I wrote why Santa should hire him.

He is kind and has a nose like Rudolph to fill in for him. And to nurture them young.

Hope Quote

W.A.L.T. To find a quote that teaches about hope.

Today I found a quote about hope it was about not letting your hurts be shaping your future but your hopes to shape your future.

I put the quote on canva and did some animating and pictures to make it seem cooler than what it was.

Mosaic art

Today I made a mosaic torch, out of paper.

It was fun because you get to try out another type of art form. It is tons of fun, you should try it. You just need to shred some paper really tiny and put the colours into the shape of your desires.

Here is my artwork I hope you like it. Are you excited for Christmas? Sorry my image is upside down.

Summer Learning Journey

W.AL.T. Try out the colouring google app.

Today I did a drawing on google colouring in book. It was a monkey and a lady. The monkeys arm is not coloured in because I could not edit it but otherwise it was good. This app is really good. You should try: Art Coloring Book Google Arts. My copy surely isn't like the original but it still is kind of cool. My eyes are pretty creepy, but they don't work. But they do work, kind of.

This piece of art is called Self-portrait with Monkey. By Frida Kahlo. This art was made in 1945, well thenks for checking out my blog.

Aloha Jennah.
