Colours in Maori

Today I named the Colours in Maori, from Red to Black to White and the rest. It was fun because we had t think of images to go with the colours. I definitely would not mind doing this again.
Purple is Papura

Red is Whero

Yellow is Kowhai

Blue is Kikorangi

Orange is Karaka

Black is Mangu

Grey is Kiwikiwi

White is Ma

Green is Kakariki

  1. Kia ora, our name is Room 9 at New Brighton Catholic. We found your blog and we really liked the pictures you choose, especially the Oreos and chocolates because we all love Oreos and chocolate.
We were very surprised your image for karaka was not orange the fruit, why did you not choose an orange as your image?

    1. Hi Room 9 and Mark,
The reason was that most people would think to do an orange. And I won't to think outside of the box a little bit. I thought that if changed it up a bit it would be a little more creative. And catch a little more interests.
Thanks for commenting on my blog, come again soon.
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.
