Kate Sheppard

Today I made a poster of what I think is the way they advertised women voting back then. Keeping in mind that they didn't have much so they had to travel and advertise and get signatures for the petition. I made my poster on an old times themed website and I just changed the writing and image. I hope you like it.

Do you know why women wanted to vote?

  1. WOW Jennah, this is amazing! You have really captured the time. This looks like something right out of the 1800s. I really love the background and the fonts you have used.

You have done well to have the main image and idea in the centre of the page as that is where people look. Ka pai for keeping the colours simple and not overwhelming the poster.

I really like in your description that you added more information about how they got signatures. I did not know that they had to go place to place to advertise.

I believe that women wanted to vote because they saw themselves as equals to men. They had ideas and thoughts that needed to be shared. Plus, women are just as important as men.

Have you seen any of the posters that they used when promoting the Women's Right to Vote?
