tower that is on fire, and then the sky has big flowing waves. With bright stars drifting round the shining sun. I also see a quiet town where all living creatures are sleeping peacefully.

ReplyDeleteWell done for participating in the Summer Learning Journey and creating this post about cracking the code through careful observation!
You have done an excellent job describing what you can see in Vincent Van Gogh’s ‘The Starry Night’.
This particular painting is one of my favourites for almost the exact same reasons you enjoyed it; the beautifully detailed town and the soft, flowy sky. I also really like the clouds which have been painted with such an array of colours, as well as the use of oil paints, the detail in the shading, and the spectacular tree which in my mind almost looks like a castle.
What is your favourite part of this image?
Vincent Van Gogh truly was such an amazing artist who inspired so many others with his work.
Have you seen any of Van Gogh’s other paintings? If so, which ones did you like?
I enjoy drawing and painting. Whenever I’m feeling a little bit down, I always pull out my sketchbook and draw, and it makes me feel so much better!
Do you enjoy drawing and painting?
