Onomatopoeia

W.A.L.T. Identify what onomatopoeia is and show an example
For writing today I did a google drawing for onomatopoeia. If you are wondering how to pronounce it here it is broken done: ono - mat - o - pea. Onomatopoeia is when a word sounds like what it means.
It can be found in songs and stories.
Do you know any examples for onomatopoeia?
Here is my google drawing

  1. Great job Jennah, it is interesting isn't it that Onomatopoeia is not just Pow! Boom! Clap! but can be words like riiing, meow or howl! I wonder if you went back over previous written work that you would find Onomatopoeia. Do you think using Onomatopoeia is easy?

    1. Hello Miss Holland,
      Thanks for the comment.
Now that I know what Onomatopoeia is it is a whole lot easier to use. If I went back to my writing I recon there would be a lot.
The word Onomatopoeia is a really hard word to say and spell.
