Kia ora Jennah, what interesting facts you have found about Poppies. After all the reading your did, why do you think poppies are so special and represent the war?
ReplyDeleteCould you explain to me what it means by the ships carrying poppies over to New Zealand and what happened the next year? I am a little confused.
Hi Miss Holland
ReplyDeleteI think the poppies are very special because they were the first flower to grow in the mud and soil of where the soldiers fought and died.
What I mean by the ships carrying poppies to New Zealand was..
The French were shipping over poppies for New Zealand, but the ships arrived to late to use the poppies so New Zealand decided that they would wait until next year to use the poppies, I hope that makes a little bit more sense.
Thanks for you comment.
